Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born on August 19 1965 is an American actress. She is also an actor and producer. Her most famous character is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The series ended on August 13, 2012, following the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and claims she goes to Passover seders.
